Herbal Yogurt Dressing
Step 1: Prepare Herbal Yogurt Salad Dressing Mix
Ingredients:
1/4 cup chili powder
1 tablespoon ground ginger
1/4 cup ground cumin
11/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
Directions:
Place all the ingredients in a l/2-pint jar, cover tightly, and shake well to mix. Store in a cool, dark, dry place.
Makes about 1/2 cup.
Step 2: Make Herbal Yogurt Dressing
In a small bowl, whisk together
2 teaspoons of the Yogurt Salad Dressing Mix,
1/2 cup plain low-fat yogurt,
3 tablespoons water,
1 tablespoon cider vinegar ,
1 tablespoon lemon juice,
1 crushed clove garlic, and
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley.
Let stand at room temperature at least 30 minutes before using, then whisk again.
Makes about 1 cup.
